When you listen to yourself…

…things start to make sense.  I finally am starting to pay attention a little more clearly to the voice in side that speaks to my strengths needs wants and desires.  As we move through life, we are constantly in search for “ourselves”, our goals our passions our meaning—well, at least the personality types that are like mine and like to find meaning and purpose out of every breathing living and waking moment of my life. :)

The reality is that the minute you walk outside of your door in the morning, if you do not wake up and attune yourself to others, yourself, or the world around you, you can get swept up in the messages, advertisements and energies of other people.  So, listen to yourself and walk out there aware of what’s going on around you because before you know it weeks, months, and years will have passed and before you know it, you forget who you are, were, or ever wanted to be.  You’ll get to a point where the voice who was trying to talk to you in a civil manner before is now loudly and angrily telling you to LISTEN!

It’s at that moment that you get to define the course and direction of your life.  You can stop and re-direct or you could ignore and stay the course.  The risk in staying the course lies in your voice giving up and your “self” no longer wanting to fight anymore to the point where it will actually give up on you leaving you continuing on in a mundane existence belonging to everyone but yourself.

So, listen to yourself.  You matter too!

Quote

Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being “in love” which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossom had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two.

A Race to the Top

We create games and systems that help us better play the game of life

Pawns on the chessboard used to be moved strategically

Each one serving different functions to help us WIN

Here is the carrot on the stick

Work hard, motivate and drive yourself to achieve success

Hit measurable goals that make sense in this race to the top

Forget if you want to play the game or if you even think the game is fair

It’s not up to you to write the rules

It’s up to you to place by the rules

Stay in your checkered boxes

Do not deviate from those norms of black and white

Stay in your lane and move as fast as you can

Do it because you can

See who gets the money and who gets the glory

For the rest of you there’s the consolation prize that you tried your best

And because you’re struggling, let’s support you by making sure you test

Prep all day and all night because that’s the foundation of a solid education

Filling in bubbles and writing your name

It’s the name of this game

It’s a race to the top

things become possible.
